『お医者さんゴッコの三種の神器「聴診器・打腱器・額帯鏡」』
最近のお医者さんは、どうなってんだろう。
昔ならまず患者の目を見詰め、「どうしましたか？」の問診に始まり、聴診、触診、指診、脈診と続いた。
ところが今は、なおざりな質問が二言三言あればまだまし。
下手をすれば一度も目を合わせず、パソコンの画面を眺めキーを叩いてばかりだ。
それも医学の進歩とやらか？
ぼくが育った昭和半ばの医者は、思わず尻込みしたくなるほどの威厳を放ち、先生の白衣を見ただけで泣き出すほど。
しかし聴診器を当てられ、指で胸や背中をトントンと打診されると、不思議と痛みも和らいだ。
だから、そんな偉大な医者を真似るお医者さんゴッコも、人気の遊びの一つであった。
果たして、お医者さんゴッコを真似る子など、今でもいるだろうか？
お医者さんゴッコを始めるにも、玩具屋の店先を飾る、お医者さんセットなる高価なオモチャなど、そう易々と買っては貰えない。
しからば、自分たちで身の回りの物を工夫して、それっぽく似せて作るしか術はない。
近所の悪がき3人が知恵を絞り、まず挑んだのは聴診器。
これは意外なほど簡単だった。
だって普段遊びで使っている、ゴム管パチンコを流用したからだ。
まずはゴム管を取り外し、太い針金製のY字部分を、皆で寄って集って押し広げた。
そして耳に差し込む針金の先に、短く切ったゴム管を差し込み、Y字の先端部分に残りのゴム管の片方の切り口を結び付ける。
そして反対側のゴム管の先には、お勝手からこっそり拝借した、漏斗を取り付ければ完成。
続いての代物は打腱器。
これは脚気の検査で膝下を叩く、三角形の固いゴムの付いた道具だ。
まずジャンケンで負けた者が、生贄となり消しゴムを供出する。
それを三角に小刀で切り落とす。
そして三角形の一辺に、尖った鉛筆をブスリと差し込めば完成。
いよいよお医者さんゴッコに不可欠な、三種の神器の内の二種までを手にした寸法である。
いよいよ残すは、額帯鏡。
当然子どもの頃に、そんな小賢しい専門用語など知る由も無く、ぼくらは勝手に「メッカチ鏡」と呼んだ。
医者が額に取り付ける、円盤のような鏡のことである。
一つしか覗き穴が開いていないから、ぼくらはそう呼んだ。
まずは体操の紅白鉢巻きを額に巻き付け、お母ちゃんの鏡台からこっそり拝借した、手鏡の柄の部分を鉢巻きに差し込めば完了。
そう、映画八つ墓村の「祟りじゃ～っ」の要領で。
これですっかり三種の神器も揃い、後はお医者さんゴッコの実践あるのみ。
「さあ！」と3人で顔を見合わせるが、誰一人肝心要の患者役を、志願する心得者も無い。
となれば困った時の神頼みならぬ、わが家の老犬ジョンに白羽の矢が。
その並々ならぬ気配を察知したのか、縄抜け名人のジョンはスルリと首輪を外し、スタコラサッサと逃亡。
三種の神器を纏った、ヘンテコ極まりない3人が、ジョンを追いかけ回すものだから、近所のオバチャンたちまで腹を抱えて笑い転げる始末。
抱腹絶倒のお医者さんゴッコだった。

筋肉注射どこに打ってる？
子供の頃って「お尻」に打ってなかった？
それをこの前、病院の看護師さんに言ったら「うそ～ぉ」って言われた。
若い看護師さんだったけど、今は殆ど腕だそうです。
私と2歳しか変わらないから
オカダさんの子供の頃も「お尻」だったでしょう！
そう言えば子どもの頃お尻に注射打たれたものですが、それって筋肉注射かぁ？
お尻の肉って筋肉じゃないんじゃない？
ワシらのときは触診だけでした。しかも、小学校高学年まで異性相手にやっとったのでいまでは不純異性交遊になってまうのでしょうね。話は変わりますが、聴診器を大木にあてるとゴーッとなると言われて、大きなケヤキにウチにある聴診器をあてました。たしかに音がしました。道管を上がる水の音と教えられました。でも、アレは風にそよぐ木の葉の音だったような気がします。どうなんでしょうね。
ぼくもそんな話を聞いたことがありますが、樹木に聴診器を当てて聞き耳を立てたことはありませんでした。
それにしてもご自宅に聴診器があるなんて、スゴイ!
『ごっこ遊び』は誰もが通る道なのかも。お店屋さんごっこを良くやってましたよ。紙でお金を作ったりして。「いらっしゃいませ、何にしますか？」なんてね。
ぼくより一歳年下の幼友達だったマー君。
彼はとても優秀な子で、今じゃ立派なお医者様です。
そのマー君の好きな遊びは、銀行員ごっこや郵便局員ごっこでした。
もちろんチラシ広告で切って作ったお札でしたけど。
今どきのお医者さんは 正面から患者さんを見ないんですよ。見てるのは パソコンの画面ばっかり。
内科の先生は まだ見てくれるけど 整形外科の先生に至っては ず〜っとパソコンとにらめっこ状態。なので 数分で終了。
ちゃんと目を見て話してる中で 気付く症状や原因もあると思うんだけどなぁ。
それにしても 幼き頃の近所のお三人さん 毎回凄まじい遊び方をしてたんですね⁈ 場面を想像する度に笑えます( ◠‿◠ )
これまでの63年の人生の中で、ぼくは一回だけ打腱器で膝の下を叩かれ、脚気じゃない事を確かめられたことがありました。
でも今じゃあそんな打腱器なんて、ドクターのデスクの上には見当たりませんよねぇ。
