「次の日曜。横丁の煙草屋さん家の、マドンナの姉ちゃんが、お嫁入なんだってさ！」。
何だって早耳の忠治が、鼻の穴を膨らませ、得意げにクラス中を吹聴して回った。
すると子どもらはもう気も漫ろ。
今ほど豊かじゃなかった、昭和半ばの小学生時代。
ぼくらにとって、嫁入りの菓子蒔きは、それこそ天が与えし臨時ボーナスだったものだ。
ついにその日曜。
ぼくらは、横丁の煙草屋へと向かった。
だっていつ菓子蒔きが始まるかなんて、回覧板で知らせてくれるわけでもない。
となりゃあ、いの一番に特等席を陣取るより術は無い。
ぼくが到着する頃には、既に近所の子どもらが屯していた。
しばらくすると、真新しい婚礼家具を載せ、紅白幕を襷掛けしトラックが到着。
子どもたちが一斉に色めき立った。
いよいよ臨戦態勢である。
煙草屋の道路に面した二階の窓漉しに、人の動きが慌ただしくなる。
すると不意に後ろから、物凄い力で押されたではないか！
「なんだよう！」とばかりにふりかえるって見る。
後ろにはいつの間にか黒山の人だかり。
中には割烹着の腰紐を解き、両裾を両手で天幕の様に広げるオバチャン。
野球のグローブを片手に、大きく突き上げるオッチャン。
後ろでは、魚釣りのタモを突き出す者までいるではないか！
その殺気たるや、なまなかではない。
ついついぼくらは、その余りの勢いに、ただただ気圧された。
ガラガラガラ。
二階の窓が開き、文金高島田に角隠し、白無垢姿の花嫁さんが、顔を覗かせた。
その真っ白な花嫁の美しい顔に、ポーッと見惚れている内に、菓子蒔きが始まる。
「永い間、お世話になりました」。
消え入りそうなほど小さな、花嫁さんの声。
ぼくは肝心の菓子を、拾い集めるどころか、マドンナのお姉ちゃんの姿を、心に焼き付けたものだ。
何故だろう。父が煙草を切らし、「済まんが、『いこい』買うて来てくれんか？」と、頼まれる度、妙に嬉しかったのは？
過ぎにし仄かな、恋心だったか？

町内の「かみなりオヤジ」なんて何処にもいない！
ご婦人方の井戸端会議見ないよねぇ！
じゃあ落ち武者殿が人助けと世直しで、「かみなりオジイ」をぜひ実践してくださいな！
ぼくが子どもの頃も、ご近所にご意見番のご隠居や、世話焼き婆さん、それに雷お爺もいたものです。
いよいよ日本人が日本人を嫌いになる時代が、残念ながらやって来ちゃいましたねぇ。
昔から深夜番組で危惧していた事か！
あら？ もしかして たばこ屋さんのお姉さんが初恋のお相手だったりして( ◠‿◠ )

小さい頃は この風習を知らなかったし 実際に体験した事もなかったけど TV『名古屋嫁入り物語』を見て知りました。名古屋って派手なんだ〜って(笑)
熊本に住む私の従姉妹の婚礼の際は 親戚やご近所さん方が集まり三日三晩どんちゃん騒ぎでした。
これもまた その土地の風習なんでしょうね。
婚儀にまつわる古くからの風習は、各地様々なようですよねぇ。
昔は今と違って、当人同士の気持ちよりも、家と家の婚儀でもあったわけでしょうからね。
名古屋の結婚式が派手だったのは、家の見栄じゃないでしょうか？
私も ４０年近く前 お菓子蒔きしましたよ〜 ❣️

２階からは形だけで 沢山の方々のご協力で殆どは手渡しをして、無事に執り行なえました ♥( ◜‿◝ )♡♡♡
