今日の「天職人」は、名古屋市中川区の、「漆喰鏝絵師」。
幼い頃の思い出が お寺の鐘によみがえる 冬枯れの田んぼ 泥んこ顔の君とぼく 夕暮れ畦道帰り道 お寺の土塀の片隅に 二人刻んだ淡い約束 雨に打たれ風に塗れた
名古屋市中川区の山田左官店、漆喰鏝絵師の山田實さんを訪ねた。
「『おおい、雀の涙買って来い』って、よう職人にどやされて・・・あんた、何軒薬屋へ走ったかわからんで」。山田さんは目を輝かせた。
山田さんは終戦の年に尋常高等小学校を卒業すると、十三歳で左官見習の奉公に上がった。朝五時から樽に川砂と水、それに苆（すさ）と呼ぶ細かく刻んだ藁を加えて練り、ネタを仕込む。ネタ樽と左官道具満載の大八車を、力任せに曳いて十キロ以上離れた現場へと駆けた。
職人の仕事は、見て盗んで覚えろが鉄則。また職人たちの遊び心は、小僧いびりにも長じていた。それが冒頭の「雀の涙」だ。年端も行かぬ小僧にしてみれば、本当にそんな薬があると真に受ける。「今と違って同じイジメにしたって、昔は洒落心があったんだわさ」と、傍らで二代目の正彦さんがつぶやいた。
山田さんは小僧時代、昼食後の職人の昼寝の隙を狙って、押入れの中に潜り込んでは、人目にも付かず技量も要さぬ壁を相手に修練を積んだ。その甲斐あって、若干二十歳の年に晴れて独立開業した。
左官の仕事は、壁板への荒塗に始まる。次に「場慣らし」と呼ぶ、柱や貫の間に丸竹を組む。特に柱脇と壁土の接着には、カヤと呼ばれる格子状に編んだ補強用の下地が埋め込まれ、中塗り、乾燥へと続く。ここまでに一ヵ月。一年を経てやっと上塗りを施し完成となる。
一年の間に、柱も壁も痩せてしまうからだとか。とても現代の時間軸では推し量れない。職人の智慧と技量が惜しみなく注ぎ込まれ、絶妙な鏝捌きに託されるのだ。
「まあ、これ見たってちょう」。山田さんが屋根漆喰を指差した。純白の漆喰壁に浮き上がった二羽の鶴が優雅に大空を舞う。「昔は土蔵の入り口が、左官職の腕の見せ所だったけど、まあ遣りたても遣らせてまえんわ」。山田さんが口惜し気につぶやいた。
鏝一つで吉相を塗り上げる、天晴れ漆喰鏝絵師！

職人さんは､技を盗んで覚えなさいが基本なのですね｡
山田さん修行大変でしたね｡努力したのですね｡(先輩が昼寝している間に練習を､したのですね｡)
私は､実際に左官職人さんを､見た事有りません｡
左官職人さんは､鏝で綺麗に塗るだけではなく作品が出来るなんてすごいですね｡
漆喰って聞くと屋根…としか思いつかなかったけど 漆喰でこんなに素敵な作品が出来上がるなんて！
修行も必要でしょうが やっぱり才能があるんじゃないかと。( ◠‿◠ )
きっと鏝絵には 願いが込められているんでしょうね。
うちの近所では見かけないなぁ〜
蔵のあるお宅の、蔵の扉に鏝絵が施されていたりします。
ちなみにぼくの大好きな、高山の「旅館田邊」の奥の蔵の入り口にもあった気がします。
私も以前先輩によく言われたもんです。
教えるのは簡単だけどその前に私の技を盗ん欲しい！
罪にはならないからねぇ！

それを真似て私も後輩に「どうやるかは私の技を盗むのが一番手っ取り早いぞぉ！」
なんて事を言ってました。偉そうに(汗)

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.
