ロイヤルアルバトロスは、両翼を広げるとこんなに大きいのです。ぼくが精一杯両手を広げたって、敵いっこありません。
タイアロアヘッドの崖の草むらで、母鳥が抱卵しています。健気な姿に、心が震えます。人間も動物も、母は偉大です！我が子を殺める親たちに、ぜひこんな健気な親鳥の姿を知って欲しいものです。
ロイヤルアルバトロスセンターの保護官と一緒に「ハリキッテドーゾ！」です。なんとも柔和な笑顔で、とてもやさしそうな方でした。

本当にアホウドリの中でも、一番大きな種で、両羽を広げると3mほどもあるんですよ。
でも体重が他の鳥たちよりも重いからか、瞬時に離陸できないため、こんな半島の崖の上を利用して、崖から飛び降りるようにして羽ばたき、空を舞うのです。

豊かな自然とそこにある人達に触れたからなのかと思いを巡らせてしまいますね。

ロイヤルアルバトロスが大空を舞う姿は感動ものでしょうね！
いつの間にか 自分の中のモヤモヤが消え去ってしまうぐらい…
でも どうしてこんなに大きくなったんだろう？
生き物って進化していくうえで 何らかの理由があるから 変化もするんでしょうし。
一つには、ニュージーランドが太古より鳥の楽園であり、天敵に襲われる危険も無いため、大きくなったのではないでしょうか？
もう絶滅してしまっていますが、ダチョウを大きくしたような巨鳥「モア」は、体調3m超えほども大きかったようで、博物館で剥製を見ても圧倒されました。
天敵がいないため、飛ぶのを止めた「カカポ」や「キーウイ」「タカヘ」など、沢山の鳥たちも固有種となったのかも知れません。
でも、そんな楽園に、やがて人間たちが・・・。
なるほど〜
人間によって自然が削られていき 先駆者である生き物が追いやられていく…
人間の世界でも同じ気がします。
共存って理想や夢だけで終わるのかなぁ〜？
そんな事ないですよね⁉️
全ての人々と分かりあえて共存するには、なかなかに難しいものがあるかも知れませんが、出来る事なら適度な距離感を人間と人間も、人間と自然とも、互いにバランスを重んじれば、どちらかかどちらかを駆逐しなくたって良さそうなんですけどね。
一対一でも 分かり合うのって難しいですもんね⁈
理解をしようとするんじゃなくて 知りたいなぁ、興味があるなぁ…だけでも 見方が変わったり ほんの少し目の前の景色が変わる気がするんだけど。
適度な距離感やバランス…本当に難しい でも大切な事！
