ウォーキングの途中、熱田神宮の西側の歩道の脇で、三つ葉葵の立派な家紋の入った山門門扉を見掛け、つい立ち止まってしまいました。
何とその脇には、「右大将頼朝公誕生舊地（きゅうち）」とあるではないですか！「舊地」って？？？後で調べて見ると、「同じ耕地にくりかえして同じ作物を蒔付けること」とあり、益々？？？どうやら元は中国語で、日本においては「もとの所領地」なんだとか。そう言わてやっと納得した次第です！が、しかし。山門門扉に立派な三つ葉葵とは？？？清和源氏の流れを汲む頼朝公のご家紋は、「笹竜胆（ささりんどう）」のはず！
でも名古屋市教育委員会の説明板文には、まったく触れられていません。
さすがに800年以上も前のこと。謎は謎のままだから、それもまた浪漫かと自分に言い聞かせてみました。
境内の中には、頼朝公の産湯池があったそうですが、昭和20年(1945)の空襲で誓願寺は炎上し、戦後の再建後、頼朝誕生伝承を惜しむ人の手により、池跡に源頼朝公産湯ノ井戸が設けられたとか。
しかしやはり謎は深まるばかり。
実は、頼朝公生誕地の伝承はもう一つあるそうです。その場所は名古屋市瑞穂区の井戸田町の近辺。龍泉寺の境内でもには、やはり頼朝公が産湯を使ったとか。境内にある、井戸田学区連絡協議会が設けた説明版「亀井水（かめいすい）」にも、頼朝公の産湯を汲んだ井戸とあるそうです。今度は妙音通まで、足を延ばして見るといたしますかあ！

おはようございます。お誕生日おめでとうございます。60代は古代インドの教えによると、林住期にあたるそうです。ワシも還暦前後にいろんなシガラミ(柵)を離れて、好きなことを自由にやりたいと思って離陸しかけたら、いろいろあって不時着してまったり。思うようにはいきません。が、おもしろい出会いもあって今がたのしいです。釈迦に説法ですが、がんばらずにユックリとやってください。源頼朝公が名古屋の生まれとは知りませんでした。少し調べたら幼少名は「鬼武者」というそうな。義経を放逐したようにイキオイのよい武者だったんですね。

熱田神宮とその周辺はお正月以外は歩かないので細かいことはわかりませんが熱田神宮境内はとても神聖な気持ちで新年を迎えてます。一度初詣の時期を外して歩いてみます。
それもまた、いつもとは違った景色と出逢えることでしょうね。
